TELEPATHY SADHANA

Telepathy

Do you wish to attain the power to talk to people sitting thousand of miles away from you, without the help of any scientific equipment? * Do you wish you were able to read the thoughts of others? * Do you wish you were able to know about events occurring thousands of miles away without having to switch on a T.V. or radio? In Mahabharat era, Sanjay had accomplished Divya Drishti Sadhana ,Door Shravan or Divya Shravan Sadhana through which he could visualise events occurring hundreds of miles away. Dhritrashtra, the father of Kauravs was keen to know about the goings-on in the battle and as he was blind he could only hear about the proceedings. Through the power of his Sadhana, Sanjay was able to see the battle of Mahabharat going on in Kurukshetra and narrate the events to Dhritrashtra, while he sat in the palace in Hastinapur (Delhi).
Just imagine that you are sitting in Delhi and are talking to your wife who is in Bombay. You are not talking on phone but are receiving the sounds through the powers of the Sadhana. Isn't it amazing? You wouldn't have to resort to the help of any instrument or wait for the call to be linked and neither shall anyone be able to interrupt or overhear your conversation. Then you can contact anyone - even when you are far from civilization where there are no modern facilities like phones or wireless.
Once you have accomplished the Sadhana you can hear any conversation going on anywhere in the world. However in order to converse with someone it is necessary that the other person too, is perfect in this Sadhana. If this happens, exchange of thoughts would be child's play.
This Sadhana can be started from any Sunday and it lasts for eleven days. One has to remain in Sadhana for about one hour daily.
4 to 6 am is the right time for this ritual, for the atmosphere then is peaceful and there is no disturbance. It is easy to communicate telepathically during this period.
The Sadhak should get up early in the morning and take a bath with fresh water. He should wear yellow clothes and sit on a yellow mattress facing the North. He should then light a lamp with a cotton wick immersed in clarified butter (Ghee).
In the Sadhana three articles are required - picture of the Guru, Door Shravan Yantra and Door Shravan Mala.
The Yantra and the rosary should be consecrated & enlivened through special Mantras composed by Shankaracharya. These Mantras are used to form a link of the rosary and the Yantra with the ether present everywhere.
The Sadhak must take a plate and draw a Swastik on it with red saffron. Then the Yantra should be placed over the Swastik.
After this the Sadhak should place the picture of the Guru next to the Yantra. The picture should be wiped clean and a mark of vermilion should be made on the Guru's forehead. Flowers and prayers should be offered to the Guru.
Then the Sadhak should chant the Mantra || Om ||
three times. Next he should chant one round of the following Door Shravan Mantra -
|| Om Bram Brahmaand Vei Bram Phat. ||
This Mantra is short but very effective and by its chanting the inner conscience of the Sadhak is awakened and thus the soul becomes free to move anywhere. After the chanting of the Mantra is complete the Sadhak should sit peacefully for ten minutes and try to establish a contact with Gurudev. In the beginning just speak out your feelings or any message which you want to send to him.
During the time period from 4am. to 6a.m. Gurudev in an invisible form reaches all his disciples and the Sadhak's wish spoken at this time is surely conveyed to him.
Repeat this whole practice regularly for eleven days. Your inner conscience shall slowly become awakened. And the day you ask something of Gurudev and are able to receive an answer know that you have become perfect in telepathy. Then you can easily contact any person living anywhere in the world and read his or her thoughts. You can even know about remote events sitting at home.

SHAMSHAN SADHNA

Shamshaan sadhna ke bare me batate huye Sadgurudev ne kaha tha ki shamshaan sadhna tuchh ya hey sadhna nahi hai ye to jeevan me vyakti ko asht pashon se mukt karne wali sadhna hai .aur shamshaan me sadhna kar vyakti bhay se rahit ho jata hai aur use aisi drinta mil jati hai ,jisse ki vah saare vishv me kahi par bhi nirdwand bhraman kar sakta hai ,bhoot-pret uske gulam ho jate hai ,jinke madhyam se vyakti sansaar ka koi bhi karya kar sakta hai . ye alag baat hai ki sadharan ya kamjor aatm bal wale sadhak aisi sadhnaon me baithne ke paatr nahi hote.
Jab sadhak apne isht ke pratayksh sakshatkar ka sankalp le leta hai to use is sadhna ka avlamban lena hi padta hai. Tantra me bhay se bhaga nahi jata aur na hi use dabaya jata hai balki useswikar kar us par vijay payee jati hai .yaad rakhiye yadi aap shamshaan me ek baar bhi poorn rupen sadhna kar lete hain to kaam, bhay, jugupsa. ghrina.moh, bhay apne aap hi aapke samne paraast ho jate hain . jeevan ki nissarta ka bodh aur aatmgyan ka anubhav is sadhna ke baad hi hota hai aur tantra ke 5 peethon me se ye ek anivary peeth hai .prakarantar se shyama sadhna ka ye poorvabhyaas hi hai ,jiske baad hi guru aapko tantra ke goodh rahasyon ki chabi pradan karta hai .to kyun na guru aagya se is sadhna ko sampan kar apne sadgurudev ke gaurav pataka ko ham aur uchaiyon par lahraaye.haan ek baat avashya dhyan me rakhen ki is sadhna ko guru nirdeshan me hi karma chahiye.
Shamshan ke prakaar –
Shamshaan 10 prakar ke hote hain safeda, yamdand, sukiya, fuliya, haldia, kamedia, kikdiaa, michmich iya, silsiliya, piliya, ye 10 naam un 10 shaktishali pretshaktiyon ke hain jo ki shamshaan sadhna ke samay aapke ugra mantron ko apni shakti sejagrat karte hai. Inhi prêt shaktiyon ke bal ke dwara shamshaan ki ekantikta me abhichar karm,bhoot-pret, pishach, betal, bhairav aadi ke mantra siddh kiye jate hain .
Shamshaan ke adhishthrata dhoomra lochan ka swaroop ghanshyam, bhayanak dirgh deh, bade bade kesh aur saghan badi lomrashi ,hath me vajra, aur pash, nagn paad, tatha chamde ki langot dharan kiye huye hain. Prêt pind aadi tatha chitaagni setapakta shav ka maans -majja inka bhojan hai.

Shamshaan me pravesh karte samay guru,ganesh- batuk-yogini aur matrgano se anumati leta hai.sabi shamshaan me vyapt shaktiyon ko namaskaar kar vah apni sadhna praraambh karta hai aura san par baith kar kramsah shamshanadhipati ko poorv me,bhairav ko dakshin me.kaalbhairav ko pashchim me tatha mahakaal ko uttar me padyadi dekar unka poojan kar bhog-bali aadi deta hai .yadi chita ka prayog kar raha ho to kaalratri, kali tatha mahakaali ke ghor mantra padhta hua bhog samarpit karta hai .tatpashchaat bhoot nath ko bali pradaan kar veerardan mantra se chaturdik raksha chakra ka nirmaan karta hai .yaad rakhiye isi mantra ke baad hi sadhak swayam bhairav roop ho jata hai aur vighn aadi uska kuchh nahi bigaad paate .
Iske baad sadhak apne guru dwra nirdisht mantra ka jap karta hai tatha apne prayojan ko siddh karta hai.aghor sadhna,kaal- bhairav sadhna, shamshaan jagran sadhna, asan khilne ki sadhna, ugra kali sadhna,52 bhairav sadhna, mahaugra tara sadhna, shamshaan kali sadhna, marghat chandi sadhna, tantrik shatkarm aadi pramukh sadhna hai iske atirikt veersadhan ek ati mahatvapoorna sadhna hai .ye to nitaant satya hai ki jo sadhnayen soumya roop me bahut lamba samay siddh hone me lagati hain, wahi shamshaan me yekahi tivra gati se aur shighra siddh ho jati hain.
Halanki aaj sadhak keliye vatavaran itna anukul nahi hai aur upar sesamajik va kanooni niyam itne jatil ho gaye hain ki sadhak chah kar bhi in sadhnao ko majboorivash kar nahi pata .par Sadgurudev ki aseem kripa dekhiye ki wesahaj hi karoona vash apne shishyon ko aisa vardaan pradaan kar dete hain jiske baad aapko shamshaan jane ki avashayakta hi nahi rahti balki aap swayam hi un saare labhon ko apne sadhna kaksh me bina kisi dosh ke le sakte hain aur un shaktiyon ke sahyog se apne jeevan ko khush haal aur aishvarya yukt bhi bana sakte hain.
Aur wo adwiytiya kriya hai Sadgurudev dwara Teevra Mahakaal diksha lena .jiske dwra Sadguru aapke shareer me hi maha shamshaan ki sthapna kar tivra shakti yukt akhand chita ko prajvalit kar dete hain aur jisme sadhak ke sabhi grah doshon bhi bhasmibhoot ho jate hain.iske baad aapko shamshaan jakar jatil kriyaon ko karne ki avashayakta hi nahi rah jati balki aap apne sadhna kaksh me hi un tivra sadhnaon ko guruaagya se sampaan kar siddh kar sakte hain.
Abhi bhi yadi ham itni suvidhaon ke baad bhi haath part haath dharebaithe rahe to hamara bhagya phir koi nahi badal sakta .kaha bhi gaya hai ki udyam se hi kaarya siddh hote hain manorath ya chahne se nahi. Buddhiman ko ishara kafi hai .

FAMILY TRUBLED BY EVIL

Is your family troubled by evil ghosts or spirits?
Or is some relative or acquaintance worried on this account? If yes, then do try this Sadhana for the food of your family and the society at large.
Due to some misconceptions the ordinary man shivers at the mention of the word ghost. This is chiefly because of the fearful picture created in the mind of the populace by unscrupulous individuals who falsely claim to be Tantra experts. Actually they do so just to exploit fear of the people and to make a quick buck thus. The facts related to spirits are completely different from the false beliefs that are prevalent.
Spirits do not have grotesque forms and neither do they intend any harm to anybody. They are just wondering souls whose wishes in worldly life have remained unfulfilled. All that they wish for is freedom from their infatuations. Sometimes with the desire of fulfilment of some wish or longing they enter into some person's body and this can lead to a complete change in personality, ailments, mental disturbances etc.
No remedy then works in curing that ailment or problem. The only method then left is to drive away the spirit. For this presented here is a very powerful ritual.
On a Saturday night wear black or brown clothes. Spread a red cloth over a wooden seat. Sit facing South. On each corner of the cloth place an iron nail. Then take a thread and wind it around the seat. Draw a human figure on a piece of paper with pen and place it in middle of the cloth. On head of the figure place a Taamra Sarpa and on its torso place a Bhoot Bandh Chetak. Sprinkle vermilion over these. Light incense. Place a copper tumbler filled with water nearby. Take some water in your palm and sprinkle it all around you.
Then take water in the right palm and pray for riddance of spirit from the body of the person afflicted. Let the water flow to the ground.
Then with a Black Hakeek rosary chant 21 rounds of the following Mantra.
Ayeim Kreem Kreem Khrim Khrim Khichi Khichi Bhootnaathaay Pishaachaay Khrim Khrim Phat.
Let the incense burn for the whole course of Sadhana. If the spirit appears during Sadhana or if you feel some subtle presence then take water in the right palm and sprinkle it in South direction.
After completion of Mantra chanting offer the water in tumbler to the afflicted person to drink. Tie the nails, Bhoot Bandh Chetak and Taamra Sarpa in the red cloth and then bury it far from human habitation in the South direction from home at least a foot under the earth. If the person still feels unwell then on the next Saturday chant one round of the Mantra with a copper tumbler before you. Offer water to the afflicted person to drink. Do this every Saturday till he or she recovers fully.
This is a very powerful Sadhana and I have helped hundreds of individuals through this amazing ritual.

SADHANA FOR GETTING RID OF SPIRITS

Sadhana for getting rid of spirits!

Home is the basis of life - the basis of progress in life and the resting place. On the occasion of Navratri we present here a wonderful article that reveals a very important aspect related to one's home.
The title of the article might seem a bit strange, for one often comes to hear that a person is afflicted by spirits but very few people know that even a house could be troubled by ghosts and might be haunted. But this is a truth. And most people remain oblivious of this fact. The evil effect of the spirits that haunt the house can so influence the mental process of a person living in it that he could become perturbed without seemingly any reason and may not ever know what the reason is.
If we go through the history of mankind then we find that it is replete with such instances in which houses have been haunted by evil spirits due to which those living in them have even lost their lives. The list of such haunted houses is very long. And not just ordinary houses even palaces and mansions have been under such evil influence. Wordsworth house and Tower of London have become famous because of such influence. Many times ghosts have appeared and they simply walk through living human beings. Many times guards have sworn that they saw a rider on horse back. Sometimes bells start to toll even though no one has ever touched them.
In general life such things are not discussed because they are thought to be a taboo or a part of fiction. But it is a fact that if a family is living in such a house then the safety, the future and the progress of all family members is in jeopardy. In my own life I have seen many such houses which are haunted and the families living in them have had to go through strange experiences. And the amazing thing was that they hardly realised that the reason for this was the evil influence over the house.
Long time back I was living in a house as a tenant. Within a week of shifting into the house I started to realise that I felt disturbed without any reason. I did not even feel like doing Sadhana or any work. I thought it was because I had shifted to a new place that I was not able to concentrate in any work.
But then after a few days I discovered to my amazement that things that I left at some place would later be found lying elsewhere. I never moved them and yet they would be displaced. This did not perturb me much but then I started to realise that as soon as I would sit for Sadhana some dark shadows would start to dance around me. As I was living on the ground floor I thought that it was due to lack of natural light. I had a new tubelight installed but nothing changed. In fact slowly I became mentally disturbed and strange thoughts started to enter my mind. I approached the owner of the house and tried to know from him and his wife about the land on which the house had been built. But strangely enough they were not forthcoming with any information.
Another strange thing was that the owners were a childless couple and although the husband was perfectly healthy he had had an attack of paralysis and had been confined to the bed for past several years.
Then one day I came to know from the man who used to deliver milk that the house had been built on land that was once part of a graveyard. Under the very spot over which I had my room a grave had been discovered when the land was dug. But the owner did not pay heed to warnings and he built a house. Later there were problems and on the advice of a Muslim Fakir he had an alcove built in a wall.
The facts revealed by the milk man seemed authentic for there sure was an alcove in my room. Moreover some distance from the house there still was a graveyard. It seemed to me that someone had sold the land from the graveyard after misappropriating it and the owner had bought it because it came at throwaway price.
If a person is infatuated with his wealth, possessions, land or house then after death his spirit keeps haunting the place. One can know of the ghostly presence from strange noises, sound of someone walking about or whispers.
Once I lived in a house whose dead owner used to take a bath several times in a day. Many times in the night and some times even at night one could hear water falling in the bathroom and water flowing out of the drain that came out of the bathroom. Once the family living there stayed away from home for two months but water would still come out of the bathroom.
Many times the spirits are harmless and they haunt houses because they feel deeply attached to them. They do not harm anyone. But sometimes the spirits might become evil because they cannot tolerate anyone living in their former homes. A spirit could be harmless or evil it does have an adverse effect on the psyche of an individual.
I have had another experience of living in a haunted house. I had been living in the house for about one month when around midnight one day I heard strange noise as if someone was falling to the ground. I got up and ran out to find my younger brother lying unconscious. When he recovered his senses he said that he had got up to go to toilet when he saw a ghostly figure dressed in a British suit and hat trying to see the hour in his watch in the moonlight. The sight made my brother lose consciousness. I told him that maybe he was in sleep and might have been dreaming.
From that night onwards he started to sleep with me and he never went out during the night. It was clear that he had not been convinced by my reasoning.
About fifteen days later the owner of the house came to inspect his home. I asked him about his family history. From a room he fetched an old photo album and started to show it to us. On the very first page was the photo of the person my brother had seen. The owner said that it was the photo of his dead father. When we heard this we were left dumbstruck and within a few days we decided to change the place of our residence.
There are many indications that can tell that a person is living in a haunted house. Strange sounds, sound of foot steps, a feeling of strange fear, feeling that someone is standing nearby, a feeling of strange darkness in the house, feeling of sadness, illness without any reason, frequent quarrels among family members etc. are some indications which tell that a house could be haunted. Some times the situation could become worse and there could be danger to life of the person living there.
Houses are not bought everyday. An ordinary man cannot purchase and sell houses daily. It is after years of labour that one saves enough to be able to build or buy a house. And if the house or the land turns out to be haunted then such a person has no option but to bear with the disturbance.
However living in a haunted house is a great misfortune for oneself as well as for one's children. The best course in such a situation is to try some Sadhana while there still is time.
For Sadhanas the days of Navratri are very powerful and effective. I am presenting here a Sadhana for warding off evil influence from a house which is very quick acting and powerful.
Moreover one can also try this Sadhana even if there is no such influence. Navratri is a time when success in every Sadhana becomes assured.
For protection of a house from evil, for warding off evil, for protecting the family members and to get rid of ghosts and spirits the best Sadhana is that of Lord Hanuman. Lord Hanuman being one of the eleven Rudras is very easy to please and he is the master of all spirits and ghosts.
The house graced by the presence of Lord Hanuman can never be troubled by any ghost or spirit. The Sadhaks should make the best use of this wonderful occasion by trying Shree Hanuman Sadhana for the good of their families.
One can start this Sadhana on the first night of Navratri at 11 pm. Wear red clothes and sit facing South. On a wooden seat covered with red cloth place a Hanuman Yantra in a plate of copper.
Place as many Tantrokt Nariyals before the Yantra as the number of doors to your house. Also place before yourself a picture of Lord Hanuman seated in Veer Aasan or carrying a mountain.
Offer vermilion and red flowers on the Yantra. Also offer jaggery and pure ghee to the Lord .
Do not use fragrance in this Sadhana .
After this make marks of vermilion on the Tantrokt Nariyals .
Light an oil lamp and with a red coral rosary chant one round of the following Mantra.
Om Shree Mahaanjanaay Pavan Putra-aaveshay-aaveshay Hoom Shree Hanumate Phat
The above Mantra might appear difficult to pronounce but this is a very powerful Mantra in each alphabet of which divine energy is instilled. One might feel during the Sadhana that some external power is trying to shake one's body. The rosary might for example fall from the hand. But this is because of the tremendous power of the Mantra. So do not be afraid. If the Mantra chanting is disrupted start again.
After the Mantra chanting place one Tantrokt Nariyal on each main door in the house. Next day leave the Tantrokt Nariyal and Yantra and rosary in some sacred place or bury these articles in the South direction from your home.
Due to the above Sadhana not only is the house purified rather due to the grace of Lord Hanuman one makes quick progress in life. If one regularly performs Sadhanas of Lord Hanuman then one gains a lot.
The day you try this Sadhana eat only fruit and milk, avoid useless talk and maintain celibacy. If one is not pure in one's thoughts then one cannot benefit from Hanuman Sadhana.

RARE SIDDHIS

Rare Siddhis
Ashtottarshat Naamaani
The musk deer keeps roaming here & there throughout ..... it does feel a fragrance but never succeeds in finding its source. The mankind too can smell a wonderful fragrance... Only if it could know that its source is present between its very midst.
India has been holding the torch of the spiritual leadership of the world since ages and the ancient Indian science & knowledge has always enlightened the path of spiritualism. No other nation has such a glorious and rich heritage and no other culture has affected the minds of those seeking peace & enlightenment so much, as has been done by the Indian culture. The reason for this has been the deep knowledge & philosophy possessed by the sages and ascetics of India, through which they attained several Siddhis or spiritual accomplishments and also acquired such powers through Sadhanas, so as to bless anyone with a happy and contented life. These great men were able to control all the powers in the nature through penance and proved by achieving totality of life that one can maintain a harmony between spirituality and materialism in one’s life.
Due to the changing times and the onslaught of foreign culture there occurred depreciation in the traditional values and even the moral & human values. As a result the spirituality prevalent in the society became extinct, but even after so much degradation these knowledges did not vanish altogether. Even today, a great ascetic, a great philosopher, a great scholar and an exponent of those traditions is present amidst us. And this great personality does not just have a superficial knowledge of these ancient Indian sciences but has a deep & firm grasp on them.
There are several knowledges and Siddhis which have brought so much fame & respect to the Indian culture and nine of these are considered to be main.
1. PARKAYA PRAVESH
Parkaya Pravesh means entering one’s soul in the body of some other person. Through this knowledge even a dead body can be brought to life.
Just about three thousand years back, Shankaracharya had to take help of this knowledge in order to defeat Mandan Mishra in a spiritual debate. But as time passed this knowledge became extinct in the society and today only a very few Yogis have full practical knowledge of this unique practice.
This knowledge is considered to be so important and secret that only a few Yogis, known to me, know of this practice and after them this practice shall perhaps vanish from this earth.
2. HAADI VIDYA
On acquiring this Vidya a person neither feels hungry nor thirsty and he can remain without eating food or drinking water for several day at a stretch.
Several Yogis of the Himalayas, remain engrossed in deep Sadhanas for months and years without eating or drinking anything. When they do not eat or drink, they do not even have to empty their bowels. Thus they are able to perform long penance for years and their bodies also remain healthy and fit, even without food. Acharya Vishnu Sarang, the famous Tantrik from Nepal and Yogi Manohar are proficient in this Vidya.
3. KAADI VIDYA
Kaadi Vidya a person is not affected by change of seasons i.e. by summer, winter, rain etc.
After accomplishing this Vidya a person shall not feel cold even if he sits in the snow laden mountains and shall not feel hot even if he sits in the fire. Thus a Sadhak can perform incessant penance without being affected by change of weather or seasons.
The Jain scholar, Pragya Sun had accomplished both the Haadi & Kaadi Vldyas. Guru Gorakhnath and Matsayendranath too had accomplished them.
Today the Jain scholar of Mahabalipuram Sun Maharaj and Yogi Vishambhar of Badrinath are accomplished in these Vidyas and have kept these practices alive.
4. MADALASA VIDYA
On accomplishing this Vidya, a person becomes capable of increasing or decreasing the size of his body according to his wish. Lord Hanuman had miniaturised his body through this Vidya while entering the city of Lanka.
The average height of a human being is six feet. Through this Vidya a person can reduce the size of his body to the size of a mosquito and can even enlarge his body to a size of over hundred feet.
A few years back a conference of Yogis was held on the Bhairav hill, near Dehradun and in this conference Tailang Baba (an ascetic) demonstrated this miraculous practice before hundreds of Yogis. This Vidya is almost extinct today and in my opinion only Tailang Baba has accomplished it.
5. VAYU GAMAN SIDDHI
Through this Siddhi a person can become capable of flying in the skies and travelling from one place to another in just a few seconds. The Jain scriptures speak of Jain ascetics who could fly from place to place in a few seconds. Swami Divakarsuri and Swami Pragyasuri have been such accomplished ascetics.
About eight years back Vishuddhanandji demonstrated this practice in Varanasi and proved that it is not a myth.
Today Yogi Chaitanya Swami of Madurai and Yogi Niranjan Swami living near Kanya Kumari are the Yogis who have accomplished this practice. But it seems that this knowledge shall perish with them.
6. KANAKDHARA SIDDHI
One can acquire immense and unlimited wealth through this Siddhi. It’s said that once Shankaracharya saw a very poor and destitute woman and with the help of the Kanakdhara Yantra he showered gold in her house. This Yantra is made on a silver plate and 36 squares are formed by drawing 7 lines each, horizontally and vertically. Then the Beej Mantra is written in these squares. Today only a very few people have full and authentic knowledge of this Siddhi.

7. PRAKYA SADHANA
To take birth from the womb of a woman, who is childless
Through this Sadhana a Yogi can direct his disciple to take birth from the womb of a woman, who is childless or cannot bear children. Several Yogis have thus blessed inferti1e women with children. Swami Vishuddhanand had accomplished this Sadhana and had used it to bring happiness into the lives of several women. But today only two or three persons are accomplished in this Sadhana.
8. SURYA VIGYAN
This Solar science is one of the most significant sciences of ancient India. This science has been known only to the Indian Yogis and using it, one substance can be transformed into another through the medium of sun rays.
Swami Vishuddhanand had demonstrated the miracles of this science about 50-60 years ago, by transforming a paper into rose and a cotton ball into gold.
This science has been kept alive by Divyendu Ghosh and some other Yogis, otherwise it has become almost extinct.
9. MRIT SANJIVANI VIDYA
Through it even a dead person can be brought back to life
This Vidya was created by Adi Shankaracharya. Through it even a dead person can be brought back to life. This practice may seem to be a myth but it had been used by Guru Gorakhnath several times. Today only a few persons have practical knowledge of this Vidya.
It is but our misfortune that we consider most of our rich heritage to be just myth when in fact through it we can achieve all success, wealth & comforts in our lives. It’s really very shameful that a nation where such unique & distinguished Yogis were born, today, the people of the same nation disbelieve and make fun of their ancestral heritage.
The golden Vidyas which can elevate a human life both materially and spiritually form an indivisible part of the great personality, famous as Poojya Gurudev Narayan Dutt Shrimali.
An ordinary person may feel surprised to know how all these Vidyas can be known by a single person, to such levels, that he has even become capable of imparting it to His disciples. But the scholars having some knowledge of these Vidyas know that Poojya Gurudev is in fact a divine personality more famous as Swami Nikhileshwaranand Paramhans before whom all the Yogis bow down in reverence.
These Vidyas and Siddhis are of very high spiritual level and are not meant to be demonstrated publicly. Today the world is filled with deceit, fraud, violence and greed, hence it has become even more essential to revive and resurrect these divine Vidyas. And to achieve this it also becomes necessary to recognise the true divine form of the personality, who alone is capable of endowing this knowledge on others.
Such knowledge cannot be acquired through books and neither can it be properly explained through this medium. For this a person shall have to become a disciple and learn these rare practices sitting in the Guru’s feet. One shall have to come close to the Guru and shall have to give up his position, his ego and all arguments.
I seek the forgiveness of Reverent Gurudev for disclosing this aspect of his personality without his permission. He often says that he does not believe in imparting this knowledge to anyone without testing his faith, devotion and will.
But seeing these ancient Indian knowledges becoming extinct I could not restrain myself from revealing these facts before the readers. I bow down in reverence before Gurudev’s holy divine form which is a confluence of so many unique and celestial Sadhanas & Siddhis.

Surya is the only visible God whom we can see, perceive and pray. The Sun God is considered as the life-giver, ''Prannadata'' of the entire universe. Surya is essential for life. All Vedas regard Surya as the witness (Saakshi) of all actions. The Sun or Surya is also known as ''Atmakaraka''. Being a Sanskrit word, ''Atma'' means ''soul'' and ''Karaka'' means ''indicator''. The Sun is the ''indicator of the soul''. The Surya is the indicator of our ego, honor, status, fame, the heart, the eyes, general vitality, respect and power.

Surya Puja - Worshipping the Sun God
Surya Puja is a divine boon for those who face problems, hurdles and misfortune in their lives. Worship of Sun is beneficial when people get stuck, no matter how hard working, honest and intelligent they are good luck seems to ignore them. People who aspire for sound health, prosperity, good eyesight, strength and courage, success, cure of chronic diseases like leprosy, heart ailment, nervous weakness, asthma etc. should worship the Sun. This planet is known for his Power, strength and glory.

An ill-placed Sun could also lead to difficulties in health, relating to heart or blood pressure/ blood circulation. In such a case, it is advisable to recite Surya Japa or Dhyan Mantra. After planning to perform the Surya Puja, one should wear clean red clothes on Sunday and offer lotus flower to the God, facing the east direction.

The Sun - Position
The nature of Surya is fiery. The Sun is the most powerful of all the stars. It is believed that the stronger the Sun the bigger the ego, so much in fact that there might be small place for other people to exist in such egoistic brilliance. Thus, it is where the excess vanity of the Sun exerts a malefic influence. A well-located Sun provides intelligence, perception, strength of will and character. It creates endurance, stamina, vitality, positive spirit, direction, courage, conviction, confidence, leadership, independence and straight- forwardness.

An ill-placed Sun gives lack of intelligence, poor perception, weakness of will and character. It creates lack of endurance, low vitality, melancholy, fear, dependency or servitude, deviousness or dishonesty. An overly strong but ill-disposed Sun creates pride, arrogance, tyranny and control. It creates much of the same problems as Mars (or Saturn), when too strong. A weak but spiritually inclined Sun makes us friendly, desiring to do good and self-effacing.

Significance of the Sun
Surya is considered to be the most powerful planet in astrological parlance as any planet placed with it gets combust. But, whenever Rahu or Ketu comes at 14 degrees from the Sun, a solar eclipse occurs around New Moon (meaning Rahu or Ketu eclipse the Sun). As per Medical astrology, the Sun rules head and brain among body parts and boils, pimples and fever among diseases.

The Sun or Surya is the lord of Leo in the Zodiac. Surya exalts in the sign of Aries and falls in the sign of Libra. The sun stays one month in each Rashi and takes 365 days or 1 year to complete a round of 12 Rashis. The Sun is in his strongest placement directly overhead in the 10th House.

Surya is also strong in the other Kendras, or Angles. These are the Houses 1, 4, and 7. The Sun also works well in what are called the ''Upachaya'', or growing houses. These are the Houses 3, 6 and 11. The Sun is particularly beneficial for the fire sign Ascendants of Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. Surya Puja on Sunday is considered to bring in manifold benefits to the worshippers.

MAHAKALI SADHANA

Mahakali - The Saviour
Mahakali has forever been worshipped as the saviour of good in its perpetual struggle against evil. When even Gods were on the verge of being overcome by the demons, She manifested in this "Rudra" (angry) form and that was the end of seemingly unconquerable demons like Raktbeej. Her form - long, lolling tongue dripping blood, a garland of freshly severed human heads around her neck and snakes coiled around her arms and ankles in lieu of armlets and anklets - is enough to strike terror in the most evil of humans.
Her Sadhana means not just attaining courage and valour but also the divine grace of Shiva, her consort. Rudra Mahakali is the annihilator of all pains, afflictions, problems and enemies in one’s life. On her Sadhak she bestows perfect health and youth. Death cannot come uncalled to such a person. Her divine presence means birth of supreme conscience and intelligence. A hypnotic charm keeps radiating from the physique of a Siddh of Mahakali. Friends he has many and foes dare not harm him.
Like a mother, Kali fulfils all needs of a Sadhak and blesses him with wealth, fame, respect and a happy family life. And where she assures material prosperity, she also ensures spiritual upliftment.
The Sadhana of Mahakali can be started on any moonless night. Sit facing South on a black mat. Place a steel plate filled with black sesamum seeds before yourself. On it place Mahakali Yantra. Pray to the Yantra chanting thus.
Karaal Vadanaam Ghoraam Muktakeshim-chaturbhujaa Namaami Rakta Kaaleem Taam Mundmaalaa Vibhooshitaam. Ghor-raavaam Mahaaroudreem Shamshaanaalay Vaseeneem, Baalaark-mandalaakaar Lochana-tritayaa-nvitaam.
Offer vermilion and rice grains on the Yantra. Next chant 11 rounds of the following Mantra with Mahakali Mala -
Namah Aam Aam Krom Krom Phat Swaha Kaali Kaalike Hoom.
This is a fourteen day Sadhana. After the Sadhana throw the articles in a river on any full moon night.

PAST LIFE SADHNA

The cause of all fortunes and misfortunes that one has in the present can be traced not just to past deeds but even to past lives. When a human is born he brings with him traits or Sanskars from previous lives, and added to the traits of his parents, these play a vital role in moulding his personality. No wonder a human so often feels helpless when it comes to giving a certain desired direction to his life.
With the karmas of past lives steering the course of events in the present life most of his wishes are frustrated - he is not able to get the right environment, he is not able to form deep bonds with those for whom he cares and he is not able to live life as he wishes to. As frustration slowly sets in he gives up all fight against these odds and takes to doing nothing much except bitterly cursing his fate.
Hopelessness follows failure in the case of most humans, yet this state is even more deplorable then losing the game every time, for no sooner does one give up the fight one is reduced to a virtual vegetable.
If only man today had the necessary clairvoyance it would become clear to him that the root cause of his misfortunes lies not in his present life or even his upbringing. If he had the power to look into past lives he would have been illuminated as to why his best friend suddenly turned into a bitter enemy, why his own wife was totally uncooperative or why his son was so recalcitrant.
To a common man these might be the outcome of some flaw in one's personality, yet a Sadhak's gaze which can peer deeper and well into previous births would easily pinpoint the real cause. You had ditched a close friend in a past incarnation and now he's back to settle score. You were unfaithful to your wife and she's back as a callous spouse in this life to level the score. Your son in a past life was a neighbour whom you owed a large sum, and now in this life he's your son, completely out of your control and preying on your wealth by being outrageously extravagent.
A very famous law of Physics states - For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. This in fact is a universal law and past Karmic debts - both good and bad - are passed on from one birth to the next till they are fully cleared. That's why you can feel fate being against you one moment and smiling the next.
But most of this Karmic play remains at the subconscious level and hence one remains blissfully ignorant of it. A Sadhak however strives to know about all his pending debts especially the bad ones and tries to repay them so that his future life could be free of tensions, worries and troubles. To be able to do so however one has to gain the paranormal ability to look back into time, a capability which can flower only through the means of a special method. And once this faculty is activated all events related to one's past births start to drift past one's eyes in splendid montage. Thus one can plan one's future keeping in mind the almost unchangeable course of one's life determined by one's past karmas.
Another interesting aspect of looking into past lives can be identifying what roles the relations in one's present life had to play in the previous births. One can also know beforehand which new acquaintances one is going to make in the future and having established the past links with them once can relate accordingly with them. Thus once could be able to form deeper ties with friends and relatives and even win over one's adversaries. There have been many cases when Sadhaks gained a lot by relating to relatives of past lives.
Following is a remarkable Sadhana to establish this subtle link, which never fails if tried sincerely and correctly. On any Thursday at night have a bath and get into clean clothes. Sit on a yellow mat facing North. On a wooden seat covered with a yellow cloth place a copperplate. In it place the Kundalini Yantra and worship it by offering vermilion, rice grains and flowers on it. Next light a ghee lamp and fixing your gaze on the flame chant 21 rounds of the following Mantra with a Manas Siddhi rosary.
|| Kleem Klom Hreem Hrom Ksham Phat ||
Do this daily till the next Thursday. If one's gaze on the flame is intent and Mantra chanting continuous, within first two or three days one is able to have a vision of one's past life. Use the information obtained thus with care and certainly not to harm anyone's interests. Wrong use shall definitely lead to waning of this power.
On completion of Sadhana next morning go and throw the Yantra in a river or pond. The rosary must be put around one's neck.

HANUMAN SADHANAS

HANUMAN SADHANAS
Sadhanas of Lord Hanuman are really amazing in the results they produce and what more they are so easy and quick acting that there could be no other Sadhana like them. Then what is the need to go in for tough rituals when all solutions can be ad through them.
Years back a friend was to appear for an interview for a job but he was in the grip of fear. He needed a job badly, but more than 200 candidates had been called when only five were to be selected. Tension and doubts had made my friend nervous. I advised him to just recite the Hanuman Tantra Chamatkaaraanushtthaan once before he went in for the interview. And so he did. While others sat outside poring into books, he sat there calmly mentally repeating the divine verses. When he was called in he looked calm and cool and he went inside with full confidence. He was selected and to this day he says that it was the Lord who saw him through.
It is also a tested fact that one can walk through a dense jungle or even a funeral ground without fear of being troubled by spirits, snakes or animals, especially when one keeps repeating Hanuman Mantra or Hanuman Chalisa (a special prayer of the Lord in verse form).
Water energised with Hanuman Sadhana has often been poured into the mouth of ailing patients in grave pain and the results have been miraculous, for with the grace of the Lord they regained their health. For the Lord nothing is impossible, because one who can carry a whole mountain, or defeat even a great warrior like Ravan can rush with amazing alacrity when a Sadhak is in pain.
Hanuman is an epitome of celibacy, power, courage, fearlessness and complete faith. An enemy or a problem is never big or small. It is rather one's confidence that can help one overcome even the worst. And a Sadhak of Lord Hanuman is everflowing with confidence, for he ever remains aware that there is always the mighty Lord nearby to protect him.
Important Rules For This Sadhana
1. The idol of Hanuman should be smeared with a paste of vermilion and sesame seed oil.
2. Among the various sweets it is best to offer jaggery, coconut, laddus in the morning, jaggery, ghee and chapati (Indian bread) mixture (choorma) at noon and fruits like mangoes, guavas and bananas at night to the Lord.
3. Only large red and yellow flowers like lotus, sunflower and marigold should be offered.
4. A ghee lamp with one or five wicks should be lit.
5. Celibacy should be maintained during Sadhana.
6. If possible take a bath only with water from a well.
7. The Mantra should be chanted clearly, looking straight into the eyes of the Lord.
8. Sadhanas should not be tried with evil intentions.
9. Lord Hanuman signifies true devotion, hence the Sadhak should be fully devoted.
10. Having a picture of Lord Rama and Sita in the place of Sadhana pleases the Lord.
18.4.2000 is the birth day of Hanuman, and there could be no better day for Hanuman Sadhana. A Sadhana tried on this day cannot fail and the Sadhak gets the desired results very soon. Presented ahead are some wonderful rituals which could be started from this day or any Tuesday.
THE BASIC SADHANA PROCESS
In the Sadhanas that follow the initial Sadhana process remains the same. Only the Sadhana material shall differ.
Wear red robes and sit facing South on a red mat in Veerasan (as Muslims sit for prayers). Cover a wooden seat with vermilion and on it place a picture of the Lord. In a copper plate place the Yantra and other materials. Next take some water in your right palm and vow thus - I (speak your name) accomplish this Sadhana for fulfillment of this task.
After this close your eyes and meditate on the mighty form of the Lord. Next chant thus -
Udyanmaartand Koti Prakat Ruchiyutam Chaaru Veeraasanastham,
Mounji Yagyopaveetaarunn Ruchir Shikhaa Shobhitam Kundalaamkam.
Bhaktaanaamishtadam Tam Prannat Munijanam Vednaad Pramodam,
Dhyaayed Nityam Vidheyam Kulpatim Goshpadi Bhootvaarim.
I pray to Lord Hanuman who is refulgent like a million suns, handsome, seated in Veerasan, who wears the sacred thread Yagyopaveet, who is worshipped even by Yogis, who is the Lord of Vaanars, who can jump over the ocean and who can fulfill all one's wishes.

HANUMANMANTRA CHAMATKAARAANUSHTTHAAN
Shankaracharya, a Siddh (spiritually accomplished person) in Hanuman Sadhanas composed the Divine Hanumanmantra Chamatkaaraanustthan, which basically contains 20 Mantras.
Out of these twenty, seven main Mantras are being reproduced here for the good of the Sadhaks. 11000 chantings of all these Mantras must be completed from one Tuesday to the next and a Coral rosary should be used to keep the count. For this Sadhana one must wear Hanuman Gutikaa tied in a red cloth around one's neck suspended from a black thread. Daily the seven Mantras should be chanted at least 1000 times for ensuring success in life.

DHARMARAAJ YAMARAAJ Lord of Death

Dharmaraaj Yamaraaj Namo Namah
The Lord of death, Yamaraj, is also called Dharmaraaj or the Lord of justice. It is Yamaraj who decides the amount of pain, suffering, fear and sorrow that one would suffer in life. In the face of these negative influences no human being can make progress in life.
Mental disturbances lead to loss of vital life energy. To balance this situation one not only needs to pray to all deities, rather one also needs to worship Yamaraj.
The cause of mental and physical affliction in a person's life are his past life Karmas and the Karmas of the present life.
One can surely control and change the present Karmas or worldly actions but how can one neutralise the adverse effect of the Karmas of the past life due to which one might be suffering from obstacles, pain and misfortune in the present life?
The famous ancient text Mantra Mahodadhi states -
Paathah Sanyut-megh-sannibhatanuh Pradyotanasyaatmajo,
Nrinnaam Punnyakritaam Shubhaavahapuh Paapeeyasaam Dukhkrit.
Shree Madaksheenn-dikpatir-mahish-gobhushaam-bharaalang Krito,
Dhyey Sanyamaneepatih Pitrigan-swaami Yamo Dand Bhrit.
i.e. I pray to Lord Yamaraj who has a complexion like a dark rain-laden cloud, who is the son of Sun, who blesses good action with boons, who punishes bad action, who travels on a he-buffalo, who wears so many ornaments, who is the ruler of spirits and hell and who wields a mace.
It is clear from this verse that Yamaraj is the son of Sun. Hence by worshipping Yamaraj one also gets the blessings of Sun. Sun represents one's personality and all other planets revolve around him. The above verse is actually the Dhyan Mantra of Lord Yamaraj.
Dharmraj Sadhana
As explained earlier the basic cause of all problems in human life are past Karmas and it is Lord Dharmaraj or Yamaraj who decides how to punish a person for his bad actions. Thus through the Sadhana of Dharmaraaj one gains totality - physically, in one's mind and at work. Through this Sadhana one is able to control all diseases.
All one's actions effect not only the individual but also his family. Hence Dharmaraaj Sadhana is very essential for the protection of all family members. It is stated in the Rahasya Tantram text -
Mrityunjayen Putitam Dharmraajasya Mantra Japet. Sarvopdrav Santyakto Labhate Vaanchhitam Phalam.
i.e. A person who chants the Dharmaraaj Mantra that has been prefixed and suffixed with the Mrityunjay Mantra is freed of all problems and all his wishes are fulfilled.
More painful than physical illness is mental trouble. Due to disturbance of mind a person becomes prey to worries and he cannot make any progress in his life.
The cause of mental disturbance are problems in family life, trouble from the state side, obstacles in tasks and physical illness. By making the mind pure and tension free the physique could also be made fit. And for this the best Sadhana is Dharmaraj Sadhana.
Due to this Sadhana one is not only able to find solutions to the problems of the present rather one is also able to prevent problems from occurring in the future.
The person who attains victory over fear is able to win the whole world. Through Dharmaraj Sadhana this very thing is possible provided one has faith, devotion and patience.
Special time and days are designated for all Sadhanas so that one could attain to success in the very first attempt by trying the Sadhana in auspicious moments. One can try any Sadhana any time in the whole year.
But if particular Sadhanas are started or accomplished in auspicious moments then the result gets magnified several folds.
As Lord Yamaraj is the son of Sun hence try this Sadhana on a Sunday.
The Sadhana Process
For this Sadhana one needs special Sadhana articles. These are 11 Gomti Chakras, 11 Hakeek stones and a seasonal fruit (water melon would be best). One also needs lamp black, incense, sweets, vermilion, red sandalwood paste and flowers.
At night have a bath and wear fresh clothes. Cover a wooden seat with a red cloth. On it with lamp black draw a triangle large enough so that a water melon or the chosen fruit can be placed in it. Arrange 9 Hakeek stones and 9 Gomti Chakras in a way so that each arm of the triangle has four Chakras and stones. Then at the base of the triangle place two stones and two Chakras. In the centre place the fruit.

Accomplish this Sadhana at night only. Light an oil lamp and incense. First of all worship the Guru and then having arranged the Sadhana articles as indicated before start the Sadhana.
First of all take water in the right palm and chant the following Mantra once.
Mam Sakalaapadaam Vinaashanaay
Sarvarogaannaam Prashamanaay Shree
Dharmaraaj Mantra-japham-karishye.
Let the water flow to the ground. Then chant the Dhyan Mantra given earlier 21 times. Each time place your hand on a different Gomti Chakra. Thus each Gomti Chakra has to be energised with the Dhyan Mantra.
Each time also wish for riddance from your problems. Speak out the problems one at a time clearly in your mind. Think of one problem only at a time as you chant 21 times. Thereafter with a black Hakeek rosary chant 11 rounds of the following Mantra.
Om Hreem Krom Aam Veivasvataay
Dharmaraajaay Bhaktaanugrah-krite Namah.
Do the Sadhana daily for seven days and surely you shall have the desired result.
On first day after the Sadhana cut the melon and offer it to the Lord. Then eat it seated at the same place.
After completion of Sadhana tie all articles in the cloth and leave it under a Peepul tree or drop in a river.
It is said in Uddees Tantra -
Mrityormaa Nityam Yah Karoti Dine
Dine Tasya Rogaah Prannayanti
Deerghaayushcha Prajaayate.
i.e. The person who chants Dharmaraaj Mantra daily is freed of all pains and afflictions and he attains to longevity. Dharmaraaj is the son of Sun and the brother of Venus.
Hence through the Sadhana of Dharmaraaj the boons of Venus Sadhana are also obtained. It is when all problems are neutralised that happiness in life is attained.
In the present age this Sadhana is very fruitful and divine and it surely produces the desired result. For success in life and in one's tasks one should surely try this Sadhana. If possible daily chant the Mantra before going to sleep each night.

BAGLAMUKHI THE Victory Giver

Baglamukhi - The Victory Giver
Brahmaastram Cha Pravakshyaami Sadayah Pratyay
Kaarannam. Yasya Smarann Maatrenn Pavanopi Sthiraayet
Expounding the great power of the Goddess Baglamukhi the text Mantra Maharnnav states -"The Mantra of the Goddess has the power of the divine weapon Brahmastra instilled in it and the Goddess simply strikes terror in and paralyses the enemies of her Sadhaks. Repetition of her Mantra is enough to stop even a tempest."
What more can be said about this invincible Mahavidya who along with her 16 Shaktis (divine weapons) can subdue the most formidable of foes. Her greatness has been proven time and again over the ages. And not just great Siddhs like Matsyendranath, even rulers like Vikramaditya, Chandragupt and Aurangzeb regularly propitiated the Goddess for victory in life. The great western Tantra scholar Summerfield has gone so far as to state that the combined forces of the whole world cannot face the fury of the Goddess, who removes poverty, enemies, tensions with a single swipe of her sword. And I have myself seen several Sadhaks and disciples of Gurudev regain their lost positions and emerge victorious in seemingly lost battles of life through the power of Baglamukhi Mantra.
It’s better to get Baglamukhi Diksha before starting this Sadhana. Complete celibacy should be observed during Sadhana days. One should wear yellow clothes and use yellow articles in the Sadhana. Offerings should include some sweet made from gram flour.
The ritual can be started any Tuesday. It must be done early in the morning. After taking a bath get into a yellow Dhoti/Saree. Spread a yellow cloth on a wooden seat. Fill a copper tumbler with water. On its mouth place a coconut. Place picture of the Guru on the seat and pray to the Guru. In a steel plate establish the Baglamukhi Yantra along with Peetaambraa Mala and Peetaambraa Gutika. Light a ghee lamp, take water in your right palm & chant.
Viniyog

Take yellow flowers and Peetaambra Gutika in both hands and chant thus.

Offer the yellow flowers & the Gutika on the Yantra. Next chant 21 rounds of the following Mantra -

Next light a holy fire with sandalwood or wood of mango tree or peepal tree. Prepare a mixture of honey, milk, ghee, rice and mustard seeds. Make 1000 offerings of this mixture in the fire. After the Sadhana throw the Sadhana articles in a river.

ANANG SADHNA For Happy Married Life

Anang Sadhana
The basis of a happy married life is good sexual relations and this is only possible when both the partners are equally matched in beauty and strength. And only the man who is capable of fully enjoying the beauty of a woman can prove to be successful in other spheres of life. Believe me, real confidence can be gained by being strong and manly. Neither is attaining such virility just an imaginary achievement. Such vigour and strength can surely be attained with the help of Sadhanas and among the numerous Sadhanas relating to this aspect of life Anang Sadhana holds a distinct position. Through it a person can not only attain a dynamic personality but can also regain one’s lost virility and youth.
If a person resorts to the help of Sadhanas be does not have to take any medical treatment or go to any doctor for attaining good health and a disease-free body. Sadhanas do not have any limitations and even an uneducated person can easily accomplish such practices and thus achieve a happy and healthy married life.
Healthy sex is in no way vulgar and the moments of confluence of man and woman are the most pleasurable in life. This Sadhana helps a person attain totality and completeness in this pleasure by bestowing him with a good, handsome physique and instilling into him virility and manliness.
Anang is another name of Kaamdev, the God of love and sex, and when one is blessed with the sexual prowess and physical charms of Cupid, then how can there remain any deficiency in one's love life.
This Sadhana does not involve any intricate steps or procedures. But it’s necessary that the Sadhak should be determined and filled with a fervour while accomplishing it. Because when he is doing Sadhana his high spirits shall help in imbibing the energy of the Mantra better into his body and soul. This in fact is the basis of total success in this Sadhana.
This ritual can be accomplished on any Friday. After 10 O’ clock in the night, decorate your room and make it fragrant by lighting incense sticks and sprinkling Itra (perfume). Wear fresh clothes, apply some perfume and if possible wear a garland of fresh roses. Place the Anang Yantra before yourself and offer flowers, vermilion, unbroken rice grains, saffron and Itra on it. Speak out the weakness which you wish to be removed and pray for its complete annihilation. Then chant 11 rounds of the following Mantra with a Kaamdev Mala (a special rosary). This rosary is specially enlivened with unique Mantras and on wearing it the fire of youth remains kindling in a person’s body.
Om Hloum Hloom Anangaay Phat
Four Laghu Nariyals are also placed along with the Yantra during the Sadhana. After accomplishment of the Sadhana, worship them by offering flower petals. Then tie the Nariyals in a yellow cloth and keep them in your bedroom. This practice should be repeated on four consecutive Fridays. After that leave the four Laghu Nariyals, Yantra and rosary under a Peepal (holy fig) tree.

ORIGIN OF JEWELS

Practically, there is no basic difference between a gem and a jewel. The only difference is between their hues and the special effects because of them. Some experts say that jewels have brilliant hues than the gems. But many believe that gems and jewels belong to the same categories.

But since the word jewel has achieved an independent existence, lets learn something more about it.

ORIGIN OF JEWELS: Experts have a difference of opinion regarding the origin of jewels. Researchers tell that many kinds of jewels are manufactured within the body of living organisms from the various actions and reactions of their blood, marrow, flesh etc. Some of the jewels are produced in nature through the reactions and combinations of different chemical compounds. Still some jewels are obtained from specific vegetation, plants and rocks.

Like gems, jewels too can be classified into different categories according to their appearances, effects and the compounds present within them. But before going through their physical classification, lets be familiar with the classification of jewels as has been mentioned in Indian scriptures. Through the origin of jewels as given in Indian mythology appears more like fantasies in the present scientific age, but it may have some degree of truth. Besides, it is relevant here to learn about the origin of jewels as described in mythology for various reasons. Hymns and other descriptions of Indian religious scriptures are more cryptic in nature and need proper deciphering for who knows what is hidden in them. Gemmology is no exception in this context.

According the great astrologer Varahmihir, jewels are of three kinds
1) Jewels of the sky or heaven.
2) Jewels of the earth.
3) Jewels of the nether world.

Thus, in all the three worlds, superior gems are found and the excellent among them are known as jewels.
According to mythology, jewels found in heaven are-
1) Kaustubh Mani.
2) Chinta Mani.
3) Syamantak Mani.
4) Rudra Mani.

1) Kaustubh Mani: It has a deep blue colour like a blue lotus and a radiance equal to the sun. It was obtained during the churning of the sea. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu wears Kaustubh Mani in a garland on his chest. This is said to be a powerful jewel and bestows fortune, luxuries as well as invincibility on to its wearer besides extremely beautiful and imposing.

2) Chinta Mani: Name of this jewel is self-explicit. The wearer is freed from all the worries and fretting. It is white in colour and has a brilliant hue. It gives its wearer all kinds of wealth and comforts.

3) Syamantak Mani: It is a common belief that this jewel adorns the necklace of Lord Surya (the sun god). It is said to have a brilliant blue hue that instantaneously blinds the onlooker. If it is taken in darkness, it fills the ambience with day-like light. There is an interesting tale related to this jewel.

In the Dwapar Yuga, Lord Surya had presented the Syamantak Mani to his devotee Prasanjit as he was pleased by his devotion. Prasanjit visited the court of Lord Krishna wearing the jewel. All the courtiers were amazed by the brilliance of this jewel and said to Prasanjit that he did not deserve the jewel, so he should present it to none other than Lord Krishna. But Prasanjit could present the jewel to Lord Krishna and stealthily left the court. Later on, Prasanjit went to the forests on a hunting excursion and was killed by a lion. The lion took the jewel with it but was killed by Jambvant, the ursine aid of Lord Rama. Jambvant took the jewel to his cave and gave it to his children.

Back there in the kingdom, when Prasanjit did not return for many days, suspicious fingers began to point at Lord Krishna. So, Lord Krishna set out to search Prasanjit. Following the footmarks of Prasanjit, the lion and Jambvant, Lord Krishna reached the den of Jambvant and saw Jambvant's children playing with the jewel. As soon as Lord Krishna took the jewel in this possession, Jambvant also arrived there and a fierce duel followed between them. At last Jambvant recognized Lord and presented Him with his daughter Jambvati and also the jewel. Thus recovering the jewel Syamantak, Lord Krishna returned to Dwarka and washed the blemish. It is believed now that Lord Krishna himself wears the jewel Syamantak.

Rudra Mani: Nobody will be unaware of the bounty of Lord Shiva. His costumes as well as ornaments are strange. He wears only tiger's skin and formidable black snakes around his shoulder. The gods presented Lord Shiva with a jewel that came to be known as Rudra Mani. Lord Shiva threatened the jewel among the beads of His rosary. The jewel has a brilliant, golden hue and three stripes on it. Like Lord Shiva, the jewel Rudra Mani is also benevolent in virtues.

Thus, according to Hindu mythology, only four jewels come in the category of heavenly jewels. Now, lets understand something about the jewels that belong to the nether world.

Paatal of Hindu mythology is known by different names such as Nagaloka, Rasatala, Bhugarbh loka etc. According to mythology, the hell is inhabited not by humans but by great snakes as its name Naga loka shows. But different scholars interpret the word Naga differently. According to some Naga does mean snake. But others identify a specific caste of human race with the word Naga. According to them, such creeds are still present in different parts of the world. Bhils, Nagas of India and Eskimos of Greenland are prominent among these creeds. Many of them are well civilized while some are still in the wild, barbarian stage. They also differ from one another in attires and food habits. Similarly humans and demons which existed long ago were in fact human creeds but were different in many aspects. It is said that the followers of Lord Manu became humans while the followers of Lord Danu developed as demons.

Thus, though Naga was a human creed that inhabited the surface of the earth and has a distinct existence. But while discussing about the jewels of the nether worlds, Nagas are regarded as the inhabitants of the hell and Vasuki was their monarch. Some of the prominent and popular jewels of Naga Loka or are the following- Naga Mani: It is said that this jewel is present on the head of a snake. Its light shows the snake its way even in pitch darkness. When the snake senses some danger, it at once swallows the jewel. But it is said that all the snakes do not have this jewel. Only a few, privileged ones have it on their hoods. Naga Mani is said to be extremely expensive. If someone wishes to get it, he has to face lot of dangers. Thus, those who wish to possess Naga Mani first of all locate the right kind of snake that actually has the jewel. Then they chase the snake day and night continuously. Now, as soon as the snake puts the jewel out, it is covered with a blanket. Not seeing the light of the jewel, the snake naturally feels perplexed and in a way 'commits suicide' by beating its hood on the ground. But this whole venture is very risky.

Only nine kinds of snakes are regarded as the wearer of this mysterious jewel called Naga Mani. It is said that the colour of the jewel exactly matches the colour of the snake and the jewel emits light of the same colour. These nine kinds of the snake are:
1) Black snake.
2) Blue snake.
3) Yellow snake.
4) Gray snake.
5) Red snake.
6) White snake.
7) Green snake.
8) Copper-coloured snake.
9) Milky snake.

According to the scriptures all of these snakes wear jewels that exactly match their body colour. It is also a coincidence that the number of planets in the solar system is also nine. The colours of these planets more or less match with the colours of these jewels. That is why, the practice of wearing a jewel, whose colour exactly matches with that of the planet came into being. But these jewels (Naga Manis) are not easily available. That is why practice of wearing gems and stones in place of the jewels became popular.

Now is the time to take a detailed look at the gems and jewels found on the earth. Though, not innumerable kinds of gems and jewels are found on earth but according to Puranas and other authentic sources following kinds of gems and jewels are prominent:-
1) Manikya (Ruby).
2) Moti (Pearl).
3) Mungaa (Coral).
4) Panna (Emerald).
5) Pukhraj (Yellow Sapphire).
6) Neelam (Blue Sapphire).
7) Heera (Diamond).
8) Gomed (Hassonite).
9) Lahsumiya (Cat's eye).
10) Phiroza (Turquoise).
11) Chandrakant (Moon stone).
12) Ghrit Mani.
13) Tail Mani.
14) Bheeshmak.
15) Upalak Mani. (Opal)
16) Sphatic Mani. (Rock Crystal)
17) Paras Mani.
18) Ulook Mani.
19) Larvart. (Lapis Mani)
20) Masar Mani.
21) Ishiv.

Lets first understand the scriptural basis of classification of the gems and jewels.
According to Vishnu Purana and Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapurana, Bali, the grandson of Prahlad was a great king of the demons. With a resolution of dethroning Indra as the king of heaven, Bali organized a hundred Ashwamedha Yagyas. On the appeal of Indra, Lord Vishnu decided to stop the hundredth Ashwamedha Yagya of Bali and arrived there in the guise of Vamana (a dwarf Brahmin) and begged him to donate land measuring three steps. In two steps, Lord measures entire earth and heaven. Since there was not room then to put the third step, Bali offered his head for the Lord to put his third step. Thus, Lord Vishnu sent Bali direct to the hell. But with the touch of the Lord's foot, Bali's body converted into gems and stones.

Then, according to another version of the lore, a fierce battle followed between Lord Vishnu and Bali. During the battle, Lord Vishnu broke Bali's body into pieces. Thus different pieces of Bali's body fell at different places and took the shape of gems and jewels. Thus, origin of different gems and jewels is as follows:

Ruby: It originated from the blood drops of Bali, hence it has red or pink colour.

Pearl: It is believed to have originated from the mind of Bali.

Coral: That part of Bali's blood which flowed down to the sea formed the coral.

Yellow Sapphire: It originated from the flesh of Bali.

Blue Sapphire: It originated from the eyes of the demon King Bali.

Diamond
: It originated from the pieces of Bali's brain.

Hassonite:
This gem originated from the fat of the demon king.

Cat's Eye: This jewel originated from the Yagyopavit (sacred thread) of Bali.

Turquoise: It originated from the nervous system of the demon king Bali.

Moonstone: It originated from the radiance of the eye's pupils.

Ghrit Mani: This jewel originated from the pieces of the waist.

Tail Mani: Skin of the king Bali formed this jewel.

Bheeshmak: This gem was produced from the head pieces of Bali.

Upalak Mani: Cough or phlegm of Bali produced this jewel.

Sphatik Mani (Rock Crystal): This jewel was formed from the sweat of Bali.

Paras Mani: Pieces of Bali's heart formed Paras Mani.

Ulook Mani: This jewel was formed from the pieces of Bali's tongue.

Lapis Lazuli: Bali's hair formed this jewel.

Masar Mani: This jewel was produced from the faeces of Bali.

Ishiv Mani: This jewel is believed to have from the semen of King Bali.

Thus in all, eighty four different parts and constituents of the demon king Bali. Of them, only twenty-one are described as gems or jewels due to peculiar brilliance they possess. Of these twenty-one gems, only nine are most famous for their radiance and are hence known as Navaratna.

Thus, there are nine main gems or jewels, twelve common gems and sixty-three ordinary gems which are also known as sub-gems.
